The Millennium Challenge For The Future
What Can We Do?
What Are The Real Problems Facing Children Today?
What Do You Think Are The Solutions?
What Will You Do To Help?
The Millennium Message Board is our place to come together, to inform, help and encourage or support each other, so please feel free to use it!.
Did you ever wonder how people in other Countries celebrate the Holiday Season? Well, now's your chance to find out!
Perhaps you'd like to leave your 'Act Of Kindness' Story here (but a word of advice, the Board only accepts messages of 1,000 words) Or perhaps you have a story that you'd like to share with the world that is not as happy, but could be of great benefit. Sometimes, just the fact an abused child can see they're not alone, that they aren't the only boy or girl who is unhappy, more especially at this time of the year, could be of great value. As with most things we human beings do as we go through our lives, it's possible we never know how much a smile we gave to a stranger, a cheery word to someone in distress, a little hug to a friend, or indeed the things we say, can have a profound effect on another's life.. So, please don't be inhibited, I can assure you any experience you feel you'd like to share, whether good or bad, happy or sad, is most welcomed. Hearing your personal experience could be the turning point in another person's life.
Perhaps we could use this Millennium Message Board to:
Exchange topical information such as:
- swop recipes, party ideas and advice, Children's games etc.
Find out what the Holiday Season is like around the world.
Discuss fundraising events and ideas.
Have topical debates, such as:
Our opinions on the need for charities
Why are some of our children living on the streets?
Why are some of our children feeling disenfranchised?
Why is it that suicide in boys is rising at an alarming rate?
Why are some of our children turning to gangs?
Why are some of our children having babies?
Why do we treat child abuse by a family member
- less seriously than abuse by a stranger?
How can we change irresponsible parents' attitudes?
Is teen violence really the product of violent films
- and video games, or is their anger and rage due more
to a lack of parental respect, love and nurturing?
Do you have any 'Acts Of Kindness' stories to share?
I'm sure there are many more topics you could choose please feel free to do so - A note to webmasters: Any help or criticism is most welcome!
